Reclaiming our coastlines
21 March 2012 by Joe Jones
This weekend I am going to help do the clean up on Coney Beach. After the winter has gone the beaches of Britain are covered with marine litter that storms have brought in. Rubbish levels are getting worse and the impact on both the environment and the marine wildlife is more noticeable.
However help is at hand in the form of Surfers Against Sewage who are out in force this weekend to clear up beaches across Britain. As a surfer myself I get to see first hand the impact on beautiful and remote beaches across world, and these SAS organised beach cleans are a great way to reclaim out coastlines.
They're are not just in Wales, have a look at the SAS website to get involved.
