This month we managed to tear ourselves away from our work to go on our annual surfing trip. We didn’t trek too far this time - opting to cross the Bristol Channel to Port Eynon in the Gower. The campsite was less than 30 seconds walk down a path to the glorious beach, with rock pools, sand and gentle lapping waves. Nicola from H.R. cooked a delicious curry for twenty people using only a two-ring stove (she had a previous career as a chef so it was a doddle to her!)
The weather held for Saturday and we spent the day surfing, kiting and sunbathing. Poor pasty Jake from Support got sunburned. Saturday evening we barbequed and the boys (grown up boys too!) played touch rugby. David (Our Technical Director) was taught how to spin a pass by a seven year old! Sunday rained and rained. Taking down a campsite in the pouring rain is no fun indeed but it didn’t put a dampener on what was a lovely weekend!
