Sustainable Surfing anyone?

Surfers against sewage have released their insightful report on the effects of environmental pressures on the ocean. Dealing with issues like sewage pollution, marine litter, beach quality, coastal development and climate change, the organisation represent more than a group of hobbyists and lobbyists.
The Sustainable Guide to Surfing is a thought provoking, challenging and sometimes bleak assessment of the challenges that face our environment and how surfers and those that visit beaches can tackle these issues and influence the masses to adopt an increasingly sustainable way of living. It’s encouraging to see a group of surfing enthusiasts collectively campaign to improve the environment among their peers and the wider community. It would be great to see similar initiatives adopted in football, cricket and other popular activities in the UK.
